Healthy Snack Recipe

A quick healthy snack recipe has become a part of today's lifestyle and is a very necessary part of your healthy eating habit. When you're busy, you'll appreciate recipes you have prep-planned and can prepare in under 30 minutes.

The inclination to put together from scratch, a healthy snack when you're experiencing hunger pangs, will be less than strong. You'll more than likely reach for the first thing you can grab. Sadly though, allowing yourself to get to this stage will result in you reaching for un-healthy foods to snack on. These will most probably be sweets or sugary foods or pastries, because your body will be low in energy and will therefore demand a snack to quickly boost itself.

It is important to remember that snacking when you're hungry - even when it is a healthy snack recipe, should not be a replacement or substitute for having a regular meal. Since some snacks - though small, could lead to more frequent eating, resulting in your consuming more calories than you would perhaps have consumed in your regular meals.

Snacking in between meals when you feel the need however, is an important element in your healthy eating habit. Apart from getting rid of your hunger pangs, snacking does away with extreme hunger that can often lead to you gorging yourself at mealtimes.
